He was a former resident of the Cleburnecommunity. He was born February 18, 1887, in Manhattan and was a retired farmer andschool teacher. He was a former member of the American Legion in Cleburne. Surviving are three sisters. Memorial services will be held in the Burliew-Cowan Chapel at 2 p.m.Friday, with the Reverend Keller of Olsburg Methodist Church, officiating. Burialwill be in the Sunset Cemetery. The Cleburne American Legion will serve as pallbearers. [He was buried next to his brother, Ira Clyde, and near his mother,Caroline M. Wood Brown.
