Date of birth: May 1878 (note this differs from his draft registration card for WWI).
Shown as being born in Bohemia (which is then crossed out and replaced by Austria). In the next census (1920), he is shown as having been born in Illinois. The same was true of the 1930 census where his children list him as being born in Illinois (I don't have a census record of John for 1930 -- perhaps he was already dead by that year).

    2. [S44] Draft Registration - World War I, 3719 Registration Card #692 (13-1-14-C), 12 Sep 1918.
John Rozhon, 177 Clark, Hammond, Lake, Indiana
Age in Years: 35; Date of Birth: May 8, 1883
Race: White; Natural Born U.S. Citizen
Occupation: Millwright; Employer: Ill. Car & Mfg. Co.
Nearest Relative: Martha Rozhon of 177 Clark, Hammond, Indiana
Medium Height, (?) Build, Brown eyes, Black Hair

    3. [S18] 1910 U.S. Federal Census, (NARA - National Archives and Records Administration, Great Lakes Region, 7358 South Pulaski Road, Chicago, Illinois 60629), Ed 70, Sheet 6A, Lines 13-19.
The 1910 census shows that John immigrated to the U.S.A. in 1884 and was Naturalized. That means that he was only 1 year old when he arrived, so it looks like he most likely came over with his parents.
