• Notes	Luke Cheney, a farmer, came to America about 1845 stopping in Avon, Lorain Co., OH. He married Elizabeth Fretter. He later went to Michigan, but returned to Avon for a short time. He then went to Rice Co., MN where he acquired a 720 acre farm near Dundas, MN. DEATH: Died from a fall on the ice.
