    • The surname of Dunajski in English is 'of the people of the dunaj river'. Dunaj means deep water.

      IMMIGRATION:
      Ellis Island website shows a Joseph Dunajski, age 28, arriving 23 May 1893 on the Munchen out of Bremen. Lists town of origination as Jungfernberg, Germany. NO IMAGE of the ship manifest was available for viewing. ***NOT SURE IF THIS IS THE SAME JOSEPH.***

      NATURALIZATION:
      Possible naturalization record for Joseph. The birth year matches. Would have to look at a city directory between 1890 and 1896 to see if it lists his wife's name and also need to look at census for 1900. He may have been married to someone other than Louise at the time. Three of his children are by a second wife. Not sure whether the other wife was first or second, though.:
