Notes |
- Served in the Revolutionary war. Served with Captain Willey's company,Col. Spencer's regiment at the Lexington Alarm. Those who responded tothe Lexington Alarm in New England fell into two general categories;those who lived close to Boston and responded to the night time call fromPaul Revere and others (like the Faxon's of Braintree) and those furtheraway who heard days or weeks later. It is believed that the men ofHartford and Windsor heard about the battles of Lexington and Concord oneday after they had occurred. Those of this second group formed the armywhich fought at Bunker (Breed's) Hill and occupied the Dorchester heightswith General Washington which eventually forced the British from Boston.
