• Notes

  !Taken from "The Olmsted Family" book published in 1912 Page 16. Both Samuel and his wife are buried in Cone Cemetery in E. Haddam, Conneticut. Samuel's headstone has this inscription: "Samuel Olmsted, son of Captain Nicholas in Hartford, being ye first of that name who came to that place who deceased Jan 13, 1726 in ye 73rd year of his age". He settled in E. Haddam as early as 1713. !See Page 16 for land records held by Samuel and his brother-in-laws.
