  BIOGRAPHY: Officer in Scottish Army @ Battle of Dunbar Founder of Haddam, CT MISCELLANEOUS: in CT in 1658 EMIGRATED: Sailed from Gravesend, Eng. 8 or 11 Nov. 1651 on the 'John andSarah' for Charles Town, MA via Barbados with other Scottish prisonersfrom the Battle of Dunbar (1650). Of 10,000 Scottish prisoners captured by Cromwell at Dunbar, 5000 werereleased due to seriousness of injuries. The remainder were force marchedacross England and imprisoned for over a year.
