    • St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Chicago, IL, parish register shows that Emma was buried on Wednesday, May 3, 1893; age 46 years; address 3512 Lake Avenue; date of death May 1, 1893; cause of death heart disease; place of burial: Graceland Cemetery, Officiant, William White Wilson. Her death certificate shows that she was born in Salem, New Jersey (differs from info on census records) and that she had been a resident of Illinois for 35 years.

      The 1870 Census, page 296, 4th ward, Chicago, Cook Co., IL, family # 34, shows the Joseph W. Williams family with Joseph W., age 32, Real Estate, born in CT; Emma, age 22, born in PA; Elsie, age 3, born in IL, and a domestic servant born in Ireland, Rate Sullivan.

      The 1880 Illinois Census, Cook Co., Chicago, roll 199, ED 190, pg. 10, line 13, shows the following:

      Certificate shows Emma died May 1, 1893, American, born in Salem, New Jersey, a resident of Illinois for 35 years, residing at 3512 Lake Avenue, Chicago, IL. She died of Valvilar disease of heart, co mplicated by sub-auto rheumatism. She was buried at Graceland Cemetery.
