Incomplete information on the children was found in the 1840 and 1860 census records.

The complete information was given by Doris Lewis Carnese of Montrose who has done extensive research on the Lewis Family.
Simeon and Phebe lived at Williams Pond in the house later owned by Jay and Iola Hill. From Montrose to the pond turn left and it's the first house on the left (on the dirt road). In 1871 he deeded the property to his youngest son Fletcher. Then Simeon and Phebe moved to the 3rd house in the right after turning right at the pond.

Written by Mrs Jay (Iola Hill) 1960. " My husband's great Uncles James and Luther Snow came in 1812 to settle here at William's Pond. They built their log cabin in one corner of what is now our lawn. In 1839 they sold their holdings of 228 acres and 24 perches to my great grandfather Simeon Lewis. He and his wife, Phebe, made this their home for 32 years, living 15 years in the log cabin and then building this house in 1854. (By the way we have the deed for this Indenture with seal of Justice of Peace James W. Hill.)"
"In the year 1871, Simeon Lewis deeded this property to his youngest son, Fletcher Lewis, then 22 years of age. He and his wife Chloe had born to them 2 boys, Clark and George, the latter being my father. They took over the farm in 1901. In 1923, I met the great nephew of James and Luther Snow, Jay Russell Hill, and we were married Oct. 8, 1924. In November of 1939 we became owners of theis old homestead... this same house being built 106 years ago."
