      OSZLI - Mr. Steve Alexander Oszli of Bowden passed away peacefully at the Innisfail Health Centre of Cancer on May 23, 2002 at the age of 71 years. He is the loving father of daughter Pat (Dale) Oxtoby of Kyogle, Australia, son Jack Oszli of Innisfail, Alberta, daughter Kathy (Jerry) Collins of Innisfail, Alberta, and a son Wayne (Les) Oszli of Bowden, Alberta. Steve is also survived by nine grandchildren, one great grandchild, a sister Mary Rozhon of Bowden, Alberta, six nieces and nephews and their families, and his beloved friend Ollie Gardin of Olds, Alberta. He was predeceased by his loving wife Lois in 1990, his parents, one brother George and one niece Judy. Steve was born and raised on the family farm east of Bowden. He took his schooling in the Nisbet District. He married Lois Krause in 1952 and they raised four children on the farm. Steve and Lois moved to Abbotsford, BC in 1977 and from there moved to High River, and then to Olds to be closer to family. In the spring of 1995, Steve moved to an acreage east of Bowden where he remained until his passing. Steve worked for John Deere for many years and was very proud of his awards and achievements. He enjoyed woodworking and upon his retirement he took up this hobby full time. He took great pride in the quality of his workmanship, whether it be woodworking or mechanics, and this will be remembered by many. At Steveís request, a private family service was held in his honour. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Innisfail Health Centre, attention to the Palliative Care Centre (5023 - 42nd St. Innisfail, AB., T4G 1A9) As a memorial tribute to Steve Oszli a tree will be planted in the Tree Memorial Park (Innisfail) by Innisfail - Olds Community Funeral Service Ltd. "Innisfail Funeral Home & Crematorium" 4415 - 49th St. Innisfail, Telephone 227-0006.
