On 3 Nov 1737 at the Ol d Lyme First Congregational Church he married Jane Watrous, daug hter of Isaac Watrous and Elizabeth Lord of Lyme, Ct. Admitte d to First Church of Christ Congregational in New London on 13 A ug 1738. They had 11 children born in New London and baptized t here in First Church. He died on 3 nov 1763 of smallpox in Ne w London. She died on 9 Feb 1810in Alford, Ma. home of son Ru fus
