• Notes	John Read was appointed his guardian, 21 OCT 1765, Simeon being over 14 years of age. Simeon was in the Revolutionary War, enlisting 19 APR 1775. He was a blacksmith in Taunton until sometime after 8 MAY 1779 when he removed to the western part of Litchfield, CT, where he resided the rest of his life.
