      NORMA IRENE ALLEN
      Norma Irene Allen, 69, of 983-R Long Cove Road, Gales Ferry, mother ofJoyce Allen of Pawcatuck, died Thursday, Aug. 12, 1999, at Lawrence &Memorial Hospital in New London.
      Born Dec. 18, 1929, in Ledyard, she was a daughter of Rachel(Pierce) Brousseau of Ledyard and the late Adella Brousseau.
      She married Paul C. Allen in Mystic on Oct. 8, 1953. He died Jan.25, 1995.
      Mrs. Allen was a sales associate at the former Vality Store in GalesFerry and after the store closed, went to work at Marshall's in NewLondon.
      She was a member of the Women's Bowling League at the Holiday Bowlin Groton.
      In addition to the daughter in Pawcatuck and her mother, she issurvived by two sons, Paul D. Allen of Groton and Mark J. Allen of GalesFerry; two more daughters, Cynthia Kneelandd and Donna Collins, both ofGales Ferry; three brothers, Harry Bousseau of Gales Ferry, WallaceBrousseau of Ledyard, and Thomas Brousseau of Jewett City; a sister, EmmaAbrahamson of Preston; ten grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
      A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Elm GroveCemetery in Mystic. There ae no calling hours. Byles-Groton MemorialHome, 310 Thames St., Groton, is in charge of arrangements.
