• Notes

  This entry is somewhat speculative in that it is based upon a record found in the 1880 census records for Berlin Township Erie Co, Ohio which lists Minard M Fish as the father of "Birtie Fish", a boy of age 6 who was born in Berlin Heights, Erie Ohio. This matches our known record of Bert Harold Fish. Bert Fish's 1st marriage license shows his father's name as "Myndrett". Note that the names "Minard" and "Myndert" are apparently common variants. It also lists his mother as Susan Moore which is consistent with the 1880 census. item from Onondaga Register: Fish-Cornell Myndert Fish, 24 m. Rebecca Cornell 18. His death is recorded in Erie County, Ohio and it states he died of "La Grippe" on March 6, 1892 and that he was 70 years old.
