Recorded, July 31, 1924, Otsego Co. Clerk's Office, No. 5840
I, William E. Elwood, a Minister of the Gospel, residing at Main
St., in the village of Unadilla in the
county of Otsego....dohereby certify that I did on this 18 day
of June 1924 at Unadilla, in the county

GilbertSweet of Milford in the county of Otsego....and
Helen Southworth Wright of Milford....in the presence of Reka de Bloom
      and
Harold Sweet as witness... [Harold was Stephen's brother. I do
not know who the Minister was, ie., what denomination (poss.
Methodist or Presbyterian) or if they married in a church or in the
Minister's 'parlor'(likely), as the certificate is not that
specific. I do not know who Reka de Bloomwas, but she must
have been one of Grandma's friends whom she brought asher
witness/bridesmaid. I wonder if she could be in any of those
photos from Grandma's girlhood, or if it would be possible to
track the de Bloom family down to see if they have any photos to
compare.I also wonder if Grandma's parents approved of her
      marriage. - d. sweet]

The place where she was born is right in town, opposite the Presbyterian

      street level and apartments above.

      3) Oneonta Plains Cem. visit 5/5/2001 - photos taken of grave. Grandma is
buried in the WRIGHT family plot, NOTthe Sweet family plot.
Also visited the home she had built at 428 Main St. Itis still there,
2001, owned by George Monser, who tells me that he had purchased it from
the estate of Dr. Leroy House in 1968. Dr. House bought the house from
Judge Grant, who had bought it from Grandma and Grandpa. Dad had stopped
up several years ago and visited, at which time Mr. Monser gave him the
photo of the house taken in the 50's(?)/ He stated that the oak tree Dad
hadplanted by the garage as a child is now huge. I took new photos.
      Deborah Sweet info:
Helen is buried in the WRIGHT family plot, in the same grave as her
beloved grandparents, Sophia Gibson and William Wright. Her parents
Madaline Southworth and William Gibson Wright, and her brother W. Clyde
Wright andhis wife Mildred E. Williams are on the other side of the
stone. It is easilylocated, as it is in the second 'section', right on
the main cem. road, on the right, after the entrance. There are two large
shrubs on either side. I was personally there when she was buried. As a
side note, for anyone who knew Helen, she was cremated, per her own
request. She had wanted Dad (William Gilbert Sweet, her son), Uncle Clyde
      Wright (her br
