Notes |
- Came to Middleburg (previously called West View) about 1808. The area of Middleburg that he settled later became part of Berea. His brother, Ephraim, and youngest brother, John, lived near him. There may have been other brothers or relatives, too. I've seen mention of David, Philo, and Stephen Fowls/Fowles in the area but it's uncertain who these men were.
The 1820 census showed that there were probably 9 oh his children living in the home at the time, 3 males and 6 females. At least one historical account mentions that he had 10 children. Another says he had 8 boys and 2 girls.
OBIT: Name: Fowles, Abraham
Date: 11/26/1848
