    • NOTE:
There is a death certificate for an Augusta Zamph Gminski, born 11 May 1865 and died 19 Jan 1926, but she seems to be a little too young to be the mother of Veronica. Nevertheless, the info is being recorded here in case it turns out to actually be the right person. At the time of her death, she was a widow living at 6812 Worley Ave. Her father was Gutfried Zamph and her mother was Catherine Radomski. Informant was Joseph Gminski (probably her son) who also lived at 6812 Worley Ave.
The 1910 census lists this family as John Gminski (55yr), Augusta his wife (53yr), son Joseph (19yr), and daughter Julia (16yr). The census would seem to indicate that the correct birth year would be some 10 years earlier and that would be more in keeping with Augusta being the mother of Veronica.
      The 1900 census lists the family as John Gminski (43yr - Jun 1852), Augusta (45yr - May 1855), John (15yr - Oct 1884 ), Joseph (9yr - Nov 1890), Julia (6yr - Jul 1893), Helen (1yr - Dec 1898). Also living there was Katie Gambka (mother-in-law born Jun 1821).
The relationship to Veronica Pankowski is confirmed by a 1913 deed transferring the property on Worley from Augusta Gminski (widow), Veronica Pankowski (unmarried), Julia Rutkowski (and husband, John Rutkowski) to Joseph Gminski and wife Helen.
