Notes |
- John Willcockson was born about 1720, place and parentage unknown. He was apprenticed to Squire Boone, as was his brother, George. Evidence is that he had a sister, Hannah. On May 29, 1742 in Berks County, Pennslyvania, he married Sarah Boone, the daughter of Squire and Sarah Morgan Boone. She was born June 7, 1724 in or near New Britian, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
John and Sarah moved to Rowan County, North Carolina with the Boone family, where they converted to Baptist faith. Later, they moved to Fayette County,Kentucky. John Willcockson was reputed to be killed by Indians about 1782.
