      According to the "Penn Yan Democrat", dated June20, 1915;
      "JUDES-GRISWOLD, T he following is from an Amsterdam newspaper: Ateight
      o'clock Tuesday evenin g, June 10, took place the marriage of Charles
      Judes, Jr. of Amsterdam and Mi ss Mabel Griswold, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
      Sylvester Griswold of Penn Yan, a t the parsonage of Trinity German
      Lutheran church on Spring Street, the Rev. George W. Frasch officiating.
      They were unattended. The bride is numbered a mong Amsterdam's estimable
      young ladies. Immediately following the ceremony, a wedding dinner was
      enjoyed at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. Jarvis Putman, of No 34
      Milton Avenue. Mr. and Mrs. Judeshave gone to Penn Yan for a short
      stay, before taking up their residence in this city".
      NOTE: Mrs . Jarvis Putman is my grandmother, Bessie May Griswold-Putnam.
