According to the 1875 Census of the Town of Benton, Yates County, New
York:
CHARITY GRISWOLD: age 55, mother, born in SteubenCounty, married.
EDWARD A. G RISWOLD: age 21, son, born in Yates County, single, laborer,
native.
The f amily probably lived on Jackson Street, family number 240, they
lived next do or to Sylvester "Thomas" and wife Anna Griswold,family
number 239, Sister Ma ry and husband Henry Snell, family number 238 and
Albert and wife Ida Griswol d, family number 241. I am not sure who Albert
is.

this person; New York , Place of birth of t he Father of this person; New
York, Place of birth of the Mother of this pers on; New York.
HATTIE GRISWOLD: age 1, daughter, single.
The family resided at 40 Jackson Street later renamed Linden Street.
They lived next door to si ster Mary and husband, Henry Snell, also at
number40. Brother Sylvester "Th omas" and wife Anna Griswold also lived
next doorat number 42 Jackson Street .
