- Part of a letter from the Adjutant General's Office, March 1, 1935: "Seargentin Captain Lemuel Robert's company in 18th Regiment, Colonel Jonathan Pettibonecommanding; arrived in NY, August 24, 1776, and died September 22, 1776." Place of residence is not stated but the 18th regiment was composed of companied men from Simsbury, CT.
This record may be found on page 472, "CT Men in the Warof the Revolution."
The family names and dates are as accurate as I can possibly make them. Wherever possible I looked for confirmation from two or moresources. When relying on other family Gedcoms and research I invariably triple-checked the sources against related Gedcoms
