- The information that John Deming of Wethersfield and his sister, Elizabeth (Foote) Deming were probably the son and daughter of a John Deming Americana, Vol. 34 (1940), Pg. 264. In it is indicated in the will of Richard Treat that from this is indicated that there was a John Demon, Sr. (Deming) as well as John Dmon, Son-in-law and the father of John Deming, of Wethersfield, was as named John Deming.
I believe that the idea of John Deming (The Elder) Being a Huguenot and his Wife Elizabeth Gilbert, came from The Huguenot Society. John Deming seems to be one of The Qualifying Ancestors. ( Letter From Bernard Peck)
Most of Deming information comes from history of Ancient Wethersfield, CT. By: Stiles
