Her mother-in-law, Sarah (Stow) Beckwith "lived at Torrington, CT until 1830, when she removedwith the remnant of her household to Litchfield, Medina Co, OH." page 33 Delia attended the village district school in Torrington, CT in 1822. There is a certificate signed by Birdsey Bronson, Ins reading "A Testimony of approbation and expression of esteem" dated 30 Mar 1822 in the possession of the compiler. Canaan, CT Vital Records do not have birth record (Correspondence 1/2001).
