- Daniel Bunce Strong was buried 20 January 1886 Rose Hill Cemetery.
Daniel Bunce Strong lived in Morristown, N.J.; Ringoes, N.J.; Holmdel, N.J.; New Brunswick, N.J. and Matawan, N.J. After learning the trade in Philadelphia, he openeda tailoring business in Matawan, N.J. and was Postmaster of Matawan at the timeof his death. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church at Matawan. Hewas a trustee of the Middle District public school in Matawan and President ofthe Board of Trustees of Glenwood Institute. During his funeral services the stores and other places of business in Matawan were closed.
At the time of the1880 Federal Census, Daniel B. Strong, 70, manufacturer of clothing, was living inMatawan Township, Monmouth Co., N.J. (EDN 113, p. 7), with his daughters, MaryF., 37, keeping house; Gertrude S., 28, at home; and Helen P., 27, at home
