George Poe was a Captain during the Revolutionary War (LCW-I think this is incorrect, but....) The family left PA and moved to OH where it located near Salem in Montgomery Co. Either George or his son died as the result of injury received when he fell from a barn. (LCW-I suspect George III died from the fall in 1811.)
