WEBB
LCW Isaac Poe and Elizabeth Alice (Romon) Webb were my grandparents.
They were the parents of 14 children, one of them being my father. Their descendants can be found in the computer file, CRISWEBZ.FTW. My parents were Clifford Anthony and Clara Johanna Adele (Kreutzfeldt) Webb. I am the 1st of the 7 children born to them.
30-3 1867 The Isaac Poe Bible has Cindrilla Poe marry Charles H. Webb in 1867 rather than 1866. The marriage must have been performed in 1866. There are other errors in this Bible and I suspect many of the entries were made late after the fact.

106 1954 Forest Poe donated the first group of Poe Papers to the Wisconsin State Historical Society Library archives. Wisconsin Magazine of History # ,p192
LCW Tradition has Polly Poe saving these letters, etc., and passing them on to her daughter, Mrs. Cindrilla (Poe) Webb, who then passed them on to her son, Isaac Poe Webb.
Isaac, not really knowing what to do with them and knowing that his cousin, Forest Poe, was interested in family history went on to give them to Forest. Forest, of course, knew enough to give them to the library so many persons could learn from and enjoy them.
17B 1962 Jan Obituary, Forest Poe. It contained this information: He attended high school in Oconomowoc. He was a photographer from 1904 - 1927. (He owned a studio.) He joined the Milwaukee Public Museum staff in 1927 and retired from there in 1947. Forest was responsible for much of the flora in the museum's displays. He and Elizabeth moved to Oconomowoc in 1949. He was a taxidermist and a curator(?) on the Oconomowoc City Council 1954 - 1958. The two moved back to Milwaukee. Forest was an accomplished artist and had 42 oil and water color paintings in the Oconomowoc Public Library in 1955. Ref#106, his daughter, Lenore (Poe) Grow has some also.
Took the photo of the painting of the first Adam Poe. Photo probably taken in the 1930s as the painting was in the possession of Daisy Pratt Poe, whose home burned in the 1940s. Apparently the original oil painting burned then too. Good thing Forest took a photo of it! The photo he took was given to Lawrence Webb in the 1980s. She also gave Lawrence old photos of David and Mary Need (Nead) and their son David Jackson Poe.
