Jonathan-5 (Brown), Jr., m. 30 Sept. 1742, Elizabeth Burroughs.He may also have been the Jonathan Brown who m. at Westerly 1 March 1757,Elizabeth Burdick (Westerly Rec.), although this record would beequalicable to his namesake already referred to, as would also be thefollowing 29th Dec. 1760, Elizabeth Brown, widow was appte, admx. of theestate of Jonathan Brown, Jr. and on the 26th Oct., 1761, she appearedbefore the Council and presented an account against the estate "forkeeping two of the deceased's Orphan Children forty weeks each" (West. C& P Rec., iii, 636, 677). Still on the 17th of Oct 1768, "ElizabethBrown, widow of Jonathan Brown, late of Westerly, dec., " m. John Moon ofExeter. We do not find that the other Jonathan Brown was ever atWesterly.
