Daniel was the spouse of Eunice R. Brainard and a younger brother of Ebenezer Foster.
The brothers owned land along Denison Ave. from about West 21st Place to the Cuyahoga River. Daniel's property lay between Jennings Avenue and West 16th Street on the south side of Denison and also a large farm in the West 21st Place and Forestdale Ave. area. Ebenezer's property was on the north side of Denison.
