Elvira Alley
From Brooklyn Centre Wiki
Post-1906 name:
- Elvira Alley became known as West 14th Place and then later as Foster Court.
Location:
- South off of Redman Avenue
Development:
- None -- It is a narrow alley that allows access to some garages that face it. It is unknown why the alley was needed. Perhaps it was a paved over wagon path used by the Fosters in their farming practices.
Named for:
- Property records list the alley as "Elvira" but this was probably a transcription error as it is more likely that the alley was named for Ebenezer Foster's wife, Almira Williams Foster.
