- West 17th St.
- Previous to being named Howard Street, it was known as LaBelle or LaSalle Street.
Location:
- Between Kenneth Avenue and Denison Avenue.
Development:
- Edwin Foster purchased 10+ acres of land here in 1867 from Brainard, Curtiss, & Pixley.
Named for:
- Most likely named for the son of Edwin H. Foster. Young Howard died shortly after his birthday in 1877 at the tender age of seven.
