Plum Dumplings

Small Prune Plums
1 c. Sugar

1/2 pint Sour Cream
1 Tbl. Sugar
Cracker crumbs

Use Pierogi dough recipe.

Wash small Prune Plums, dry. Split on line, take pit out. Put 1 teas. sugar into crack of plum. Wrap dough around plum.

Boil 15 to 20 minutes.

Put dumplings in large bowl and pour 1 cup of sugar on top of dumplings. Cover so that sugar will melt, dough will crack and juice will be running.

Beat ½ pt. sour cream and 1Tbl. sugar together. When ready to serve, pour sour cream on top of dumplings.

Brown butter with cracker crumbs and pour on top of dumplings and enjoy!
