Current revision
Richard Lord (1780-1857), of Connecticutt, was a partner in the firm Lord and Barber. Together with his partners Samuel Lord and Judge Josiah Barber, they comprised the realtors who developed and sold most of the lots that were part of Brooklyn Township in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. The original owner of the township was Richard's father, Samuel P. Lord.
Lord's residence was at the corner of Pearl St. and Franklin Avenue, across from the home of his brother-in-law Judge Barber.
In 1844, Richard Lord served as Mayor of Ohio City.
