Ruth was the recipient of the Herrick Memorial Award in 1990. An honor awarded by the Early Settler's Association to individuals who have promoted and brought honor to Cleveland.[1]
Upon Ruth's death at the age of 99 in 2006, her books were donated to the Cleveland Public Library's History Department; four or five file cabinet's worth of papers were donated to the Western Reserve Historical Society (though it isn't known at this time in 2009 whether they have been cataloged and added to their main collection); and two boxes of material were saved from being thrown in the trash by the Brooklyn Centre Community Association.

Riverside Inn (March 20, 1887) Located in Saranac Lake, N.Y. in the Adirondacks where each year a winter festival is held and was the destination of the elite. Front notation has G.W. Baldwin in pencil and it is presumed that he may be one of the men in the photo. Thanks to Nora Bouvier for identifying this Inn.

Gustav Kuchle about 1884 Gustav was the youngest son of Gebhardt Kuchle. He is probably standing alongside his house and facing south. The muddy road would be Kuchle Street.
